Coach Casey was born and raised in Boca Raton, FL. Throughout his childhood, Casey built a name for himself on the court from nothing but hard work and determination. Coach Casey was a top talent in Florida, winning a state championship as a sophomore starter at Westminster Academy and being named Broward County Player of the Year as a Junior for North Broward Preparatory School. Casey went on to sign with Marshall University (Huntington, WV) before transferring to Dunk City's Florida Gulf Coast University (Fort Myers, FL). Casey joined the 1,000 points club in just three years at FGCU and holds the highest single season Division I points per game average at FGCU. Casey then went on to play four years professionally in Spain, Romania, and the Dominican Republic.
After retiring, Casey jumped back into basketball, this time as a skills coach for Step It Up Summer Camp. Casey immediately stood out in the coaching world, with his energy and dedication devoted to each athlete separating him from the competition. Casey’s vision carried him to founding Ball By Design with his younger brother, Colby, in February 2014.
Currently, Casey continues to organically grow Ball By Design and is the Head Boy’s Basketball Coach at his alma mater, North Broward Preparatory School. His passion and dedication continue to help him grow as a coach, husband, and business man.
